What can I adjust with the R58 TUNE brewing profiles?
TUNE lets you adjust the pre-infusion and final extraction times at preset pressures, then save up to two personal brewing profiles. It’s a useful way to keep your favourite recipe ready or switch between two coffees without starting from scratch. The pressure stages are preset, so this is not fully adjustable pressure profiling.
Does the R58 TUNE have separate boilers for espresso and steam?
Yes. There’s a dedicated 0.58 L brew boiler and a separate 1.8 L steam boiler. This gives brewing and steaming their own boilers, with PID temperature control to help keep your espresso temperature consistent. The no-burn steam wand and separate hot water outlet cover milk drinks and Americanos too.
How long does the Rocket R58 TUNE take to heat up?
The rapid heat-up system can get the machine ready for brewing and steaming in as little as 10 minutes. That’s a best-case figure rather than a fixed wait every morning, as room temperature and other conditions can affect the warm-up time.
Does it need to be plumbed in, or can I use the water tank?
You can use either. The R58 TUNE has a 1.9 L water reservoir, so you don’t need a permanent water connection to use it. It also supports a direct water connection if you prefer a plumbed setup. Its built-in rotary pump works with both water-feed options.
How do I control the machine and keep track of my shots?
The R58 TUNE uses a push-turn control knob alongside a touchscreen Communication Pod, which attaches magnetically beside the E61 group head. The touchscreen gives you access to the machine’s settings and operating information, while the built-in shot timer helps you keep track of extraction time. The brew group is the 58 mm E61 type.
How much counter space does the R58 TUNE need?
The machine measures 335 mm wide, 482 mm deep and 427 mm high, and weighs 29 kg. Check those measurements against your counter and overhead cupboards, and allow extra working room for filling the tank and using the steam wand. You can choose Chrome (Silver) or Matte Black.
Which voltage version should I choose?
Choose the version that matches your local electrical supply. Our options are 220V EU and 110V–120V US/MX/JP/TW. These are separate voltage versions, so don’t treat the machine as a universal-voltage appliance. If you’re unsure which one suits your setup, contact us before ordering.
